This year marks the 100th anniversary of the store's opening.

The person who symbolizes this fun and freedom is Mr. Iwaya, the buyer in charge of creating this event.

During his student days, Iwaya was immersed in band activities, and his keen sense allows him to read the latest trends and customer needs.

Polished by this sensibility, our products at GINZA TANIZA TOKYO have been reborn.

The result is the innovative "flap tote bag."

Iwaya came up with a proposal for a bag that fits the modern era, which was our company's weakness.

As a result, we have made many connections with not only our long-time loyal customers, but also with people who encountered GINZA TANIZAWA TOKYO for the first time.

Prototype, revision, reprototype --

We exchanged over 200 emails and had more than 30 meetings.

They worked hard together to create four new models.

And then the first day of Matsuya Ginza's 100th anniversary event arrived.

Many customers took time out of their Golden Week holidays to visit us, and we received more orders than we expected for our hit bag, the "Flap Tote Bag."

Many visitors continued to visit the event every day, and the event was able to finish without any problems.
